According to Fabrizio Romano Mateus Tetê (22) has completed his medical with Premier League side Leicester City, and is set to sign a contract which will be valid until the end of the season.

The Brazilian was on loan at Olympique Lyonnais from Shakhtar Donetsk, but recently reached an agreement to terminate the agreement in order to facilitate a move to the Foxes. There were reports that Leeds United were also interested in the player, and that they were even attempting to hijack the deal.

The player missed training yesterday, and travelled to England in order to undergo a medical and finalise his move to the Premier League. This season Tetê has featured in 17 Ligue 1 matches and scored six goals for Les Gones, registering three assists. The player joined Lyon following the outbreak of war in Ukraine, and featured in nine appearances last season, scoring two goals and contributing with five assists.
