The Brumbies have defied the request of Rugby Australia to rest Test trio David Pocock, Scott Sio and Allan Alaalatoa, naming all three in the starting XV which will tackle a depleted Sunwolves side.
Wallabies coach Michael Cheika asked ACT to leave the trio out of the team which will face the Sunwolves on Sunday, as they will now only have a six day turnaround ahead of the first Test against Ireland.
But Brumbies coach Dan McKellar has refused the request, ACT quietly seething that they were the only club asked to rest players.
The club is desperate to bring fans back to GIO Stadium and launched a 15 for 15 initiative for this match, promising a $15,000 donation to three charities is 15,000 fans turn up on Sunday afternoon. They have named a near full strength side as a result, with just one change made to the side that beat the Bulls in Pretoria.
Hooker Connal McInerney will make his first Super Rugby start with Folau Faingaa suspended, leaving a vacant seat on the bench which is yet to be filled.
Robbie Abel will be given until game day to prove his fitness, with Les Leuluaialii-Makin to pull on the No. 16 if Abel is ruled out.
The only other change to the 23 comes on the bench, Ben Alexander earning the nod ahead of Makin.
The Brumbies take on the Sunwolves at GIO Stadium on Sunday, kicking off at 4:05pm AEST, broadcast LIVE on FOX SPORTS and RUGBY.com.au radio.
