— To follow up on what I reported earlier, WWE has announced at today’s RAW tapings that the King of the Ring tournament is indeed returning next week on RAW. The 1-night tournament will feature 8 participants from all 3 brands. Expect the winner of the tournament to take over the “royal” gimmick that King Booker used after winning the last KOTR tournament.
— ProWrestling.net reports that Stephanie McMahon-Levesque has greatly cut back on her involvement with WWE’s creative team. While she has been working on other projects within the company, she is also spending more time with her daughter and getting ready for her second child, which is due this summer Brian Gewirtz and Michael Hayes are now writing most of RAW and SmackDown. There is said to be a lot of frustration within the creative team ever since Stephanie has given up a lot of her time-consuming duties.
