— Mauro Ranallo missed last night’s NXT show as was widely reported. Tom Phillips replaced Ranallo alongside Beth Phoenix and Nigel McGuinness but noted that they are looking forward to welcoming Mauro back next week. WWE did not give any explanation for Ranallo missing the show and they haven’t said anything apart from a brief mention on the Survivor Series PPV stating that he blew out his voice at TakeOver.
— Bobby Fish was removed from the tag team title match last night on NXT after taking a bump to the outside. He was replaced by Roderick Strong to replace him mid-match against Keith Lee and Donovan Dijakovic during a commercial break. PWInsider.com reports that the belief backstage was that Fish may have injured himself or been “knocked for a loop” but was seen walking around backstage so the move was likely precautionary in nature as he seems to be okay.
