As part of a “shake up” from Vince McMahon, WWE announced this past Monday night that five more members of the NXT roster will be joining Lars Sullivan as they move up to either Raw or SmackDown in the near future. No dates for these debuts were revealed, but Cageside Seats believes that they will all be debuting separately and that some could take a couple of weeks to arrive. As far as which NXT Superstar is expected to be on the main roster first, all that was mentioned is that the person in question will debut before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view this January. One would think that Lars Sullivan would show up first given the fact that his main roster promotion was announced weeks ago, but that is purely speculation at this point.
During WWE’s TLC pay-per-view this past weekend, The Fabulous Truth (R-Truth & Carmella) defeated Mahalicia (Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox) in the finals of the Mixed Match Challenge tournament. As a result of the win, both teammates will be #30 in their respective Royal Rumble matches in January, but they have also earned the right to take a vacation anywhere in the world completely free. To the disappointment of Carmella, R-Truth announced that they will be visiting WWE’s headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. In an update from PWInsider, WWE is actually planning on filming short comedy videos featuring the duo’s trip to Connecticut, but they are not expected to be shot until after the holiday season is over.
For the past few weeks on NXT, fans have been seeing mysterious training vignettes hyping up the debut of a man only revealed as Dijakovic. After all of the videos, the newest addition to the NXT roster finally made his debut on last night’s episode of the show. Dominik Dijakovic (formerly known as ROH competitor Donovan Dijak) picked up a victory in decisive fashion over a local enhancement talent on NXT yesterday. Dijakovic has appeared on NXT before in one-off appearances, but this win could definitely signify that he will now be featured on the show much more regularly. Dijakovic was signed to an NXT contract by WWE last year following a successful run in Ring of Honor, where he won the Top Prospect tournament in 2015.
