The main event of WWE’s next PPV will be a Shield Reunion for the WWE World Title.
It will be Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Title in five weeks at Battleground on July 24.
Monday night on Raw, WWE attempted to determine whether Rollins or Reigns would face new WWE champion Dean Ambrose at the PPV. However, a #1 contender match between Rollins and Reigns ended in a double count-out.
Ambrose told authority figure Shane McMahon to book him against both Shield members and Shane obliged, making the triple threat match for Battleground.
Update: The match is still scheduled to occur after Roman Reigns’s 30-day suspension. Reigns is scheduled to serve the suspension from June 21 to July 21, making him available for the next PPV.
