Doordarshan crew which got ambushed in Chhattishgarh’s Dantewada in which one of crew member Achyutananda Sahoo, the cameraperson came out with the horror, they had gone through. Doordarshan reporter Dheeraj Kumar and assistant Mormukut Sharma whose video he shot during the shootout for his family as his last message, shared what they had gone through with News18.
“We were going to shoot a poster by Naxals calling for theelection boycott. Sahu was 50 meters ahead on his foot. We were on a bike, riding pillion behind Chhattisgarh police personnel. Suddenly we heard a cracking sound and saw Sahu drop. I wasn’t sure what had happened but my bike skidded and I fell in the ditch next to the road,” said Dheeraj Kumar.
