According to our colleagues at Mercato 365, Newcastle’s French winger Florian Thauvin is not opposed to a departure in January as he continues to struggle for playing time since his move from Marseille this summer.
Thauvin has yet to score or provide an assist for Newcastle in the Premier League, and apart from turning up to matches wearing a nice tuxedo, there has been very little in the way of noticeable moments for the former OM winger, who is now seriously starting to regret his decision to join the Magpies.
Despite having a contract which goes on until June 2020 with Newcastle, Florian Thauvin is reportedly not against a departure in January, but there is a problem. After having played for Marseille and Newcastle, Thauvin is blocked by FIFA regulations that prevented Hatem Ben Arfa from joining OGC Nice last January, from playing for a third club competitively this season.

Thauvin is therefore going to have to either be patient at Newcastle, or join a club in January where he will not be able to play for 6 months.
