Shubman Gill has been in stunning form for Gujarat Titans in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL). The 24-year-old opener has scored 851 runs in 16 matches.
Gill’s form has been a major factor in Gujarat’s success this season.
Gill has a very sound technique, which allows him to play all types of bowling. He is very good at finding the gaps, and he is also capable of hitting big shots.
He has also shown great maturity and composure in the IPL. He has been able to stay calm under pressure, and he has not let his nerves get the better of him.
This has led to comparisons with the greats of the game including Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.
Speaking to ANI, Gill shared his thoughts on the adulations and said, “See it’s great when people see it but I don’t really see that way because the generation that all of these people Sachin sir, Virat bhai and Rohit Sharma have inspired is beyond.”
“Had we not won the 1983 World Cup, had there not been a Sachin Tendulkar….had we not won the 2011 world cup would I be as much inspired, maybe or maybe not. So, these kinds of legacies, things kind of things are immortal. you can’t really define their legacies,” Gill told ANI.
Gill will be in action in the IPL 2023 Final which will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad
