LEMONT, IL — At its Monday meeting, the Lemont Village Board approved awarding a contract for the trail connection project between Copper Ridge and Lemont Township.

According to Board documents, two bids were received for the project, and the Board approved the low bid of $99,682.50 from Miller Pipeline, LLC.

The project came in under budget; the engineer had estimated $146,905.60. The project was included in the fiscal year 2025 budget.

The project will include cleaning, topsoil and earth excavation, removal of two culverts, removal and replacement of existing trail sign, installation of stone and fabric, and site grading.

Public Works Director Ralph Pukula said the path will be eight feet wide. A gate will also be placed on the Copper Ridge side of the trail.
