AS Monaco are about to sign 36-year-old central defender Naldo from Schalke, according to RMC.
The Brazilian played 34 matches last season for the Bundesliga club and is very interested in coming to the Principality side – Thierry Henry is happy with the player arriving and an agreement has been reached between ASM and the defender.
Talks are ongoing between Naldo and his current club Schalke over a mutual termination agreement (he is currently contracted until 2020) that would allow Monaco to sign him for free – a deal is likely to be concluded at the end of the week.
