Mohamed Toubache-TER reports that Ligue 1 strugglers FC Lorient are assessing the possibility of signing 26-year-old right-back Frédéric Guilbert.
The former SM Caen and current Aston Villa French defender has been edged out of regular action in the Premier League following the summer arrival of Matty Cash from Nottingham Forest.
FCL are looking at bringing the player in on an initial loan deal.
