“VEG Buffalo Grove stands out because it’s a fully open concept ER,” Henley said. “When our customers arrive, they don’t stop in a lobby and wait for someone to attend to them and their pet. When they walk into our hospital, they are in the treatment room. Every pet is triaged right away by a doctor and nursing team.”
Henley said the skill sets of the staff are diverse, with several doctors and nurses even having expertise in treating exotic animals with medicine and emergency care.
Like at other VEG locations, the Buffalo Grove hospital plans to get heavily involved in the local community by sponsoring monthly events like 5K walks/runs, and pet health fairs.
“Our referring veterinary hospitals need support too,” Henley said. “We partner with our general practice managers and owners to ensure continuous care for their patients. This includes providing medical resources and educational opportunities for our referring hospitals and their teams.”
