SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — During the last Board of Education meeting held on Tuesday, the school district honored employees who are retiring this school year.

Around 30 staff members from nine schools were honored during the meeting.

Among the loudest cheer for the evening was reserved for Christine Jones, a paraprofessional at Indian Fields Elementary School, who is retiring after 47 years of service.

Jones began working at the district in 1977.

“She is always moving, smiling and taking care of everyone around her. And this reception validates all her effort and work here in the system,” said Assistant Superintendent Suzanne Luck-Born.

Among those retiring included social studies teacher Kimberly Greenberg, teacher Lorrie Gurak-Costanzo, Greenbrook Elementary teacher Gail Magid, Crossroads South teacher David Morgan and Crossroads North math teacher Donna Saragnese.

The evening also saw a performance by the Brunswick Acres Chamber Choir.
