The Administrative Court in Paris has dismissed La Liga’s filing that Kylian Mbappé’s (23) new PSG contract should be suspended.
La Liga asked the administrative tribunal to annul Mbappé’s contract in July as they believed that the extension breached Financial Fair Play rules. Their claim was that the LFP should never have approved the contract, whilst La Liga have also requested that the DNCG’s approval of the extension should be revoked.
However, the Administrative Court in Paris rejected their case on Wednesday, meaning that the LFP won’t revoke their approval of the contract that was signed between Mbappé and PSG back in May.
It was found that Mbappé’s contract does not show proof of “serious and immediate harm.” Mbappé opted to renew his contract with PSG and remain in Paris instead of joining Real Madrid, who had been looking to bring the World Cup winner on a free transfer. La Liga then immediately announced their intention to sue PSG for the renewal.
