class=”article_teaser__2t5do”>Having played a key role in bringing the Citizens to their first ever Champions League final, Al Hain-Cole is backing the Algerian to star in Porto

While Sergio Aguero will be dreaming of firing Manchester City to their first ever Champions League win on his final appearance for the club, Pep Guardiola is likely to look elsewhere for inspiration against Chelsea on Saturday.

The Citizens’ boss has collected this season’s Premier League title and Carabao Cup trophy without really relying on any strikers, instead usually deploying a midfielder to lead the line.

Indeed, Ilkay Gundogan is the team’s top scorer this season with 17 goals in all competitions and can be backed at 11/2 (6.50) with bet365 to open the scoring at the Estadio Do Dragao.

However, having scored just one club goal since mid-March, the Germany international may not be the most tempting anytime bet at 2/1 (3.00) in the final.

Instead, Riyad Mahrez looks like excellent value at 12/5 (3.40) considering his form in this competition, having scored three times in the semi-final victory over Paris Saint-Germain.

In fact, the former Leicester City star has hit all four of his Champions League goals for the season in the last three fixtures and is certainly worth backing at those odds to get on target once again.

Having found the net in three of his last four appearances against his former club, Kevin De Bruyne also looks a strong option at 11/5 (3.20) to score for the fourth match in six in this competition.

At the other end of the pitch, Timo Werner will be hoping to end a difficult first season at Stamford Bridge on a high.

The German international has managed just 12 goals in all competitions since his big money move from RB Leipzig and is an 8/1 (9.00) long shot to break the deadlock and priced at 3/1 (4.00) to score anytime.

Similarly, Kai Havertz is yet to really live up to the record transfer fee the Blues paid Bayer Leverkusen for his services last summer but is available at 7/2 (4.50) to deliver on the biggest stage in Portugal.

On the scoresheet in both of Chelsea’s successive wins against City, Hakim Ziyech is a potentially lucrative 9/2 (5.50) anytime option to put one past them for the third meeting in a row.
