class=”article_teaser__2t5do”>Both sides have been finding the back of the net with ease so far this season and that run of form should continue in the Champions League this week

Real Madrid travel to Milan on Wednesday evening to face Inter in the first round of matches in Group D of the Champions League.

These two sides met at the same stage last season with Los Blancos topping the group and Inter ending bottom, while both of their meetings ended in victories for the side from the Spanish capital.

Inter Milan vs Real Madrid latest odds

The two sides have started their respective domestic seasons in strong fashion with Inter claiming two wins and a draw from their opening three Serie A games, while Madrid sit top of La Liga with 10 points from a possible 12.

Inter on Wednesday night can be backed at 11/8 (2.38) with bet365 to record a victory, with Carlo Ancelotti’s Madrid team available at 9/5 (2.80) and the draw at 13/5 (3.60).

Inter Milan vs Real Madrid team news

The Italian champions are without midfielder Stefano Sensi who has a knee injury, but they should be boosted by the return of centre-back Alessandro Bastoni who missed the weekend draw at Sampdoria with a thigh issue.

Madrid meanwhile have David Alaba back in the squad after the Austrian was sidelined for Sunday’s victory over Celta Vigo, although Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos and Marcelo remain injured.

Inter Milan vs Real Madrid preview

Both outfits have kicked off the 2021-22 campaign in impressive scoring form, with Inter netting nine times in their three games and Madrid racking up 13 goals in their four clashes.

There remain question marks about both defences, however, and this looks like a recipe for another high-scoring meeting between these teams.

Last season Los Blancos reached the semi-finals of the competition but only kept four clean sheets in their 12 matches, and while one of those shutouts did come in Milan, Madrid look much weaker defensively this season.

Inter meanwhile have scored in 27 of their last 29 home games in all competitions, with their last blank in their own stadium coming in December last year.

Backing a game with goals at both ends on Wednesday at San Siro therefore makes plenty of sense.

Inter Milan vs Real Madrid tips & predictions

Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals is offered at 20/21 (1.98) and looks a solid option given how both teams have started their respective campaigns.
