As first reported by WrestleVotes, and later confirmed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are some major changes planned for all of the WWE commentary teams, some of which have already gone into effect.
In an update to that situation, WrestleVotes added today that the current plan as of this past Tuesday night is for Corey Graves to go with Michael Cole when Friday Night Smackdown debuts on FOX this October.
Multiple sources have also backed up reports stating Graves, who is currently the lead color commentator for both Raw and Smackdown, would become exclusive to the blue brand at that point.
Vic Joseph, who is currently the voice of 205 Live, would lead the Raw commentary team on play-by-play, and at this point there is no update on plans for Byron Saxton, Renee Young or Tom Phillips, beyond that Young will be hosting WWE’s in-studio show on FOX when that airs, so there has been speculation of her moving to Smackdown as well.
