Ligue 2 side RC Lens have confirmed the appointment of former Toulouse boss Alain Casanova on a two year contract, effective immediately.
There is an option to extend for a third year that is also included in the deal.
Casanova confirmed in his unveiling press conference today that he has rejected multiple offers from Ligue 2 sides and from abroad before taking the job.
RC Lens were recently partially acquired by Atletico Madrid’s owners, who held talks with multiple candidates including former Rennes manager Philippe Montanier, before deciding that Alain Casanova was the right man for the job.
