According to L’Équipe, Montpellier are pushing ahead in their efforts to sign Red Star FC attacking midfielder Naim Sliti, in a move that would allow Ryad Boudebouz to leave the club.

A formal offer is due to come from MHSC in the coming days, with the club having already sounded out the player’s entourage to see if the player was interested and they gave a favourable response.

The player has been holding out for a move to Lille, but Les Dogues are unable to recruit the player at present due to troubles with French football’s financial watchdog the DNCG.

Sliti has rejected a proposal from Red Bull Salzburg. Red Star want €2.5m and some incentives in order to part with the player.
