As many folks know, breastfeeding is not just the best way to feed a baby, it is essential to a healthy baby and mommy. In fact, my dear friend, Psychological Scientist Jennifer Hahn-Holbrook is conducting numerous studies on the consequences of breastfeeding versus formula even further. As Dr. Hahn-Holbrook and other experts reveal more evidence of breastfeeding benefits and the flaws of formula, new moms are making the 1-2 year commitment to breastfeeding. Obviously, this means they need a wardrobe to accommodate the feedings and pumping. I have had so many clients and friends come to me with the same problem. “Can you recommend stylish breastfeeding tops?”

To assist these fabulous breastfeeding moms, I have curated a collection of feeding friendly blouses. The best part is anyone can wear these, not just moms. No boring nursing brands here, thank goodness. Instead, I have listed garments from lines we would reach for normally. They just happen to have relatively easy access to the breasts – simply unbutton or unsnap and you are ready to nurse.

Note: some of these surplice blouses have a stitch at the bust instead of a snap. In these cases, take it to a tailor or utilize your own sewing skills and replace that stitch with a snap. The Bailey 44 blouse below needs that switch out.
