Speaking at a French national team press conference today, Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny discussed a variety of topics including the future of Arsène Wenger and the London terrorist attacks. Highlights.
On Arsène Wenger:
Arsène Wenger made me. We are in a difficult situation. It is not only his responsibility.
On his own future:
I feel good at Arsenal. My family is good in London. I’ve no reason to leave. Let’s finish as high as possible. Then I’ll see.
On the London terrorist attack:
Each attack affects us. We must stand together, that’s our strength. Londoners are strong.
On Samuel Umtiti:
I get on well with him. He is a superb player who is proving it at Barcelona.
On a new generation of young players:
The younger ones are mature for their age. They add a bit of “joie de vivre” to the group. We have a wonderful generation of attacking talent. I should know, I have to face them in training. They certainly have their heads on straight.
On Olivier Giroud:
He is mentally strong. When his called on he fights for the team. The national team is good for us.
