JOLIET — There’s no denying it, the Ridgewood Area of Joliet’s older east side keeps the Will County Sheriff’s Office busy. This week, the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office of Jim Glasgow filed felony charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm against 21-year-old Abel Andrade and his 26-year-old brother Bryant Andrade.
Both Andrades live in the same house in the 1000 block of Ridgewood Avenue.
According to their criminal complaint, on Sunday, the Andrades were trying to shoot Christopher M. Page, a former Melrose Park resident, who has been previously incarcerated in the Will County Jail on five different occasions so far in 2024.

“Said defendants knowingly discharged a firearm in the direction of another person, to wit, Christopher Page,” the criminal complaint noted.
Not only are the Andrade brothers charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, the brothers are also being charged with reckless discharge of a firearm and two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. The complaint indicates that both of the Andrade brothers “had not been issued a currently valid license under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act.”
The reckless discharge of a firearm charge indicates that Abel and Bryant Andrade discharged their guns in a reckless manner, endangering the bodily safety of Page, in that the Andrades fired their Glock handguns “to scare the victim away.”

As for Page, whose latest mugshot is posted below, he was most recently released from the Will County Jail on Sept. 18. At that time, the Melrose Park Police Department booked him into Will County’s custody. Page’s previous four incarcerations this year in Will County came as a result of arrests by the Will County Sheriff’s Office, Joliet Police, Will County again and New Lenox.
As for the Andrade brothers, both were let out of the Will County Jail around dinner time on Election Night. Prosecutors did not file a petition seeking to keep them incarcerated under the SAFE-T-Act.
Page was the subject of a Joliet Patch crime story in August, a big one, headlined, “Knife Incident At Speedway On West Jefferson: Joliet Police.”
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, just before 6 p.m. on Aug. 23, officers responded to the Speedway gas station at 1621 W. Jefferson St. for a disturbance.
Officers learned that Page had threatened a store customer with a knife. Police believe that Page approached a man standing next to his vehicle and began insulting the victim.
Page then produced a knife and pointed it at the victim, English said. When the victim drove away, Page punctured the victim’s trunk with the knife, according to police.
