Everyone’s favourite Ligue 1 striker Cheick Diabaté, who has been with Les Grenats on loan since January from Turkish side Osmanlispor, could be set to remain in the French top flight for another campaign.
Speaking in an interview with the Républicain Lorrain, Metz President Bernard Serin commented the following on the matter:
“We are working on a new loan because the option to buy is too costly. It is a complicated situation, but Cheick likes Metz a lot and we hope that we will reach a new agreement. If this is the case, we will look for a second attacker or two. The attack is our priority for the start of the window.”
