AS Monaco and PSG representatives met in Monte Carlo this afternoon for further discussions relating to the possible transfer of French attacker and teenager Kylian Mbappé, according to RMC.

There are two hypotheses currently being floated in negotiations, according to the report. They are as follows: either a €140m deal plus a PSG player, or €180m outright, which Les Parisiens would only be able to achieve if they sold someone that they had previously not intended to rid of this summer.

In terms of possible players in exchange, the situation is as follows: Javier Pastore & Lucas Moura, both possible targets for Monaco in terms of this deal, have indicated repeatedly that they do not want to go to the Principality club.

Another option is Gonçalo Guedes, the 20-year-old attacker. PSG are aware that Leonardo Jardim has a particular interest in the young Portuguese and believe that he could be the player to unlock this deal. In the meantime, Valencia have already agreed a loan deal for Guedes, which is on standby in case he is included in the Mbappé deal.

In terms of the second option, Krychowiak and Aurier would not count towards making a €180m deal work. Their departures have already been accounted for by the PSG staff from a financial perspective. Instead, Les Parisiens would have to sell a Julian Draxler or an Angel di Maria in order to be able to stump up the €180m that Monaco are demanding.

Di Maria is believed to have entered into informal contract discussions with FC Barcelona, whereas Draxler, who was asked about being part of Mbappé deal, has decided that he wants to stay at PSG, unless he is completely and utterly pushed out.

His agent has already begun making contingency plans if the latter scenario were to develop, having offered Draxler to Bayern Munich in recent days.
