Serge Aurier has completed his move to Tottenham Hotspur from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee believed to be £25m and deal until the year 2022.

The deal was held up this past week after the player was yet to receive a work permit from the UK Home Office after the 24-year-old received a suspended prison sentence for assaulting a police officer outside of a Paris nightclub last year.

Aurier’s arrival means that Spurs now have a suitable replacement for Kyle Walker who they sold for almost double the price a month ago to Manchester City.

The Ivorian international is Tottenham’s fourth signing of the summer alongside Ajax’s Davinson Sanchez, Juan Foyth and Paulo Gazzaniga from Southampton. The transfer will also help Paris Saint-Germain out in terms of FFP regulations, which may see them officially complete a move for Kylian Mbappe.
