JOLIET — A 35-year-old Joliet man involved in a bedroom encounter that turned violent found himself in the Will County Jail facing two counts of domestic battery and one count of interfering with the reporting of domestic violence, according to the Joliet police arrest reports.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English also wanted everyone to know that the injuries Peterson suffered, as evidenced in his mugshot photo, happened before the Joliet police arrived on the scene and took him away in handcuffs.

On September 7, at 11:03 p.m., the officers responded to a house in the 400 block of Francis Street for a domestic disturbance.
During a disturbance at the home, it is believed that Peterson pushed a woman onto a bed. The female’s 16-year-old son tried to intervene and was pushed away by Peterson. The 16-year-old also tried to call 911 at which time Peterson grabbed the boy and began to drag him while taking the cell phone away.

The juvenile was able to get the phone back and called 911. Peterson was in the residence and placed into custody without incident.
