NORTH ANDOVER, MA — A new child care center has been proposed in North Andover. The applicant requested a continuance for the Planning Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday night.
The facility is being proposed for 1250 Osgood St. The applicant has proposed razing the existing building and redeveloping the property into a two- or three-story building about 21,145 square feet in size.
The new building will be used for a child care facility “and associated play areas, along with medical offices and other uses as may be allowed under the Zoning Bylaw,” according to the Planning Board’s agenda.

The applicant requested a continuance on a public hearing until the board’s Sept. 10 meeting.
The applicant is working on a response to the stormwater peer review which requires soil testing. They are also waiting to receive civil and traffic peer review letters, according to a letter the applicant sent to the city.

The property sold for $1.275 million last month, according to a statement from Nordlund Associates. The property is a former retail building on 2.55 acres.
