Ouest-France report that a host of top European sides are regularly surveilling the performances of 20-year-old attacking revelation Alexis Claude-Maurice of Ligue 2 side FC Lorient.

On Monday night, Lille Sporting Director Luis Campos was present at the 2-2 encounter between Ligue 2 promotion rivals Paris FC and FC Lorient to watch the versatile attacking midfielder, who typically plays in the #10 role, but can play on either wing.

Les Merlus are seeking more than €10m for their starlet, if they are to sell the player this summer. Lille are at the front of the queue and view Claude-Maurice as a potential replacement for Nicolas Pépé.

Claude-Maurice has 13 goals and 3 assists over the course of this league campaign – he signed a contract extension in March 2018 until 2022. LOSC are joined by Gladbach, AS Monaco and Frankfurt in their interest in “ACM,” according to L’Équipe.

Ouest-France add that Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad (who already made an approach last season) and Arsenal are all watching the player regularly. No side has yet made a bid for the Frenchman.

The player himself wants a project that “will allow him to play, to go to the next level, to enjoy himself,” according to Claude-Maurice’s entourage.
