LOS ANGELES, CA — A collision involving two semi-trucks is expected to back up traffic on the Golden State (5) Freeway at the San Diego (405) Freeway transition for five hours Tuesday morning.
Shortly after 9 a.m., the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for the southbound 5 Freeway truck transition to the 405 freeway, said CHP Officer Luis Quintero.
The truck transition is entirely shut down and expected to remain closed for 5 hours, he said. The crash will back up traffic on the 5 Freeway in the Sylmar area throughout the morning, and commuters are advised to expect delays or seek alternate routes.
