RMC Sport report that Ligue 1 side Marseille’s negotiations to convince Jorge Sampaoli to become their new manager are progressing well.
Sampaoli wants to come to OM and the club want him to arrive at the beginning of March – contract negotiations are continuing, with the coach’s representatives currently refusing to comment on the likely length of the deal. Both parties are growing increasingly confident that a deal will be struck.
Atletico Mineiro, the coach’s current club, are becoming increasingly resigned to the fact that he is leaving for the world of French football.
