L’Équipe report that Lille President Olivier Létang has been in talks this week with 3 managers: David Guion (ex-Reims), Claudio Ranieri (ex-Sampdoria) and one other manager whose identity has not filtered through.
However, the 69-year-old Italian is in pole position to be hired after these conversations and he is expected to be officially announced as LOSC’s new boss in the coming hours.
In the interim, the Lille squad will undergo their first training session with the ball in pre-season this weekend under the orders of Jorge Maciel, current assistant coach at the club.
