TRUMBULL, CT — Now that 2023 has come to a close and Trumbull has rung in the new year, many residents likely found themselves making a list of resolutions for when the clock struck midnight on Jan. 1.

In light of this, Patch reached out to various leaders throughout town and asked what their new year’s resolution was for Trumbull, or their department, in 2024. Here is what they had to say:


Rina Bakalar, Director of Economic and Community Development

“For 2024, my wish is that inflation and interest rates come down! I resolve to continue to proactively support our existing and new businesses to succeed and grow, and work tenaciously to advance progress in the Trumbull Mall, Trumbull Corporate Park, and Trumbull Center areas.”

“Our BOE members devote much time and an admirable dedicated effort to support our students, programs and staff. I would offer a ‘wish’ to see all boards working together with us to support the BOE in the upcoming budget process.”

“Trumbull Parks and Recreation’s 2024 resolution is to provide quality multigenerational programming, special events and concerts for the community. We hope to see more residents utilize our park system and the amenities within!”

“My hope for the new year is that I can bring the Trumbull community closer together through art, music and creative expression.”
