Brian Lara turned back the clock when he faced Rashid Khan in a net session in Australia. Lara is Down Under as a commentator and was behind the mic for the Test series between Australia and West Indies. Back in the day, he was a great player of spin and even at the age of 53 showed he still had it in him.
Lara was challenged to score 12 runs off Rashid in one over. The southpaw played a brilliant cut through backward point and a beautifully lofted shot towards mid-on. Rashid is in Australia for the BBL. Lara scored 11 runs and it was a tie.

“It is unbelievable,” Rashid said as per TNN.
“As soon as I heard that I was going to bowl to him I was super excited and nervous as well. It is going to be a different day for me bowling to someone like Brian Lara, who is a great player of spin bowling. I think it is going to be a great challenge for me. It is not just about winning and losing, but I am proud to bowl to him,” Rashid was quoted as saying by Fox Sports.

“It was good fun. Low trajectory. I think Rashid may not be in top form at the moment, but it was just awesome and a privilege to face the great man,” Lara said.
