FRANCE LOCK PASCAL Papé has failed in his bid to have his 10-week suspension reduced.

Papé was hit with a lengthy ban last month for striking Jamie Heaslip with his knee, an incident that left the Irish number eight with three fractured vertebrae.

Papé argued the punishment was “excessive and disproportionate” but an appeal hearing in London this afternoon dismissed the claim.
