Fancy a puck-about this evening? There could soon be an app for that

YESTERDAY, SPORTS EDITOR of the Limerick Post, Donn O’Sullivan, tweeted this:

Which got us thinking that, yes, there absolutely should be.

Well, it seems, one might be closer than any of us thought with the US based SportsBuddy launching this glitzy video for their new app which aims to pair match people of similar sporting ability.

However, this does appear to be an app specifically designed for meeting singles with Jordan Silva Mishkin, the company’s director of business development, telling Entrepreneur:

“We create matches with a meaning. I think it’s inevitable that people will use SportsBuddy as a way to meet other singles, but hopefully this way you’ll match with someone that you have something in common with and that will lead to a stronger human connection.”

Surely then there’s still scope for an app for the rest of us who just want to play ball?
