Hall of Famer Acts as Special Enforcer at Starrcade
Tonight’s WWE Starrcade event has already featured a number of NWA and WCW throwbacks, as the event is underway live from Greensboro, North Carolina.
The opening match of the night featured Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler, and WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson acted as the bout’s special enforcer. The finish of the match saw Anderson hit Ziggler with the Double A Spinebuster after Ziggler attempted to hit Roode with a chair, and Anderson’s assist helped Roode secure the victory.
Also tonight, Goldust, aka Dustin Rhodes, resurrected his old WCW gimmick of “The Natural”, and defeated one half of The Revival, Dash Wilder, in a singles match.

The steel cage setup has also been altered slightly for tonight’s event since it’s non-televised. Typically at televised events, the cage is lowered from above, but since there is an intermission for Starrcade, the cages for the main events are being constructed around the ring during the break.
