On leaving WWE and returning to the independent scene:
“Now that I’m on the other side, I see what a great professional wrestling scene there is, how vibrant it is, how much opportunity there is all over the world and the financial component that’s attached to it.”
“I commend the people who have been [in WWE]five, ten years and really live that lifestyle,” said Aries. Though he enjoyed it while there, the opportunity to “dictate my own schedule, dictate my own direction,” outweighs it, the free agent declared.
“I realize how much I really do enjoy calling my own shots, being my own boss. It’s something I’ve always valued and why I wanted to get into professional wrestling.”
