In case you missed it, the Young Bucks and other members of the Bullet Club have been involved in a Twitter dispute with current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier recently.
It all goes back to mid-December when Cormier commented on an admittedly ridiculous spot performed during a six-man tag team match at ROH Final Battle, where all six guys in the match tried to dropkick each other at the same time. The MMA fighter, who also happens to be a lifelong pro wrestling fan, called the sequence “pathetic”, inciting rage from the wrestling community and even former ROH World Champion Cody Rhodes.
After a month of bickering back and forth, it looks like both sides are ready to put the social media beef behind them. Nick Jackson noted that he deleting the “toxic garbage” from his timeline, and Cormier apologized for the hate being slung on both sides stating, “I am in the middle of fight week and get agitated easily. I apologize. I wish you nothing but continued success.”
The 38-year-old fighter will return to the octagon on January 20th at UFC 220 where he takes on the younger Swiss light heavyweight Volkan Oezdemir (15-1), who made his UFC debut in early 2017.
I’m deleting all of this toxic garbage. No need for it! I don’t have the time or energy for it. Nothing but Love to the ones who love and hate us. Let’s all just try to get along.
