WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins made a surprise return to his home state at Friday night’s NXT Live event in Davenport, Iowa. With no main roster house shows this weekend, the “Beast Slayer” was able to take a little time for his most faithful fans and bring the Raw world title to the black-and-yellow brand for the first time ever.
Rollins was actually the first ever NXT Champion in history, and talked a little bit about how he couldn’t believe the brand had grown enough to be doing a live show in his hometown, and how the Universal title didn’t even exist the last time he paid his old stomping grounds a visit.
