WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, who has has been adamant about his retirement from in-ring wrestling, which took place back in 2010, has now revealed he might be open to returning to the ring for one more match.

In a new interview conducted for Sky Sports, Michaels admitted, “I’ve been retired for eight years now and when it got to the five-year mark I thought people would start asking me but they just kind of stopped.

“I think it’s one of those that you would never say never about and if it was just for a one-off then it’s something that I would take a look at.

“It would have to be done the right way and just for one match rather than something that ran for longer,” Michaels furthered. “It could be possible but people would have to accept they wouldn’t be getting the Showstopper, Mr WrestleMania, and that I’m 52 years old now.”

As for who be might face if he did come out of retirement, Michaels said AJ Styles or Daniel Bryan would be “good”, and he also name-dropped Johnny Gargano as someone he would like to face from NXT.

Michaels hung up his boots after losing a Streak vs Career match to The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXVI, and you can watch the match in the video player above.
