As seen on WWE Raw this week, Stephanie McMahon “relieved” Kurt Angle of his General Manager responsibilities and forced Angle to take a mandatory vacation from WWE. In Angle’s place, Baron Corbin has been named the acting General Manager of Raw.
Angle reacted to the news by saying he doesn’t know whether or not his absence from Raw will be temporary or permanent, but it appears to be the former based on current reports.
According to PWInsider.com, Angle is taking time off WWE TV so he can focus on training for an in-ring return. The report adds it is unknown at this time whether or not Angle will be returning to the ring on a part-time or full-time basis, but it does appear as if Angle is prepping to return to a WWE ring in some capacity.
