— The Kelly Kelly/Balls Mahoney love angle appears to be done. McMahon abruptly ended the angle a few weeks ago because he wanted Kelly out of it as soon as possible. McMahon is high on Kelly and he figured the association with Mahoney would hold her back. There has also been talk of having switch brands. It’s also been mentioned that she could be a modern day Miss Elizabeth as the pretty, but sympathetic girl who plays the role of Homecoming Queen that is actually nice to people. Also, the angle wasn’t really drawing ratings on a week-to-week basis. They may still be linked together in a limited basis though. It was the first storyline in a while in which it was written ahead of time with a complete start-to-finish by Dusty Rhodes.

— Developmental women’s wrestler Nattie Neidhart went on SmackDown/ECW’s tour of Europe this week. She’s participating in the Divas matches with Michelle McCool and Victoria.

— As noted earlier, Raw on Monday drew a lackluster 3.23 rating. While it was down from last week, it should also be noted that it was going up against the highest-rated program in the history of cable television. The game between the Baltimore Ravens and the undefeated New England Patriots drew an average of 17.5 million viewers, slightly above the previous record-setter, “High School Musical 2.” (That movie, which first aired in August on the Disney Channel, drew an average of 17.2 million viewers.)
