In-Ring Segment: The Miz & Big Show

The announcers discuss Ryback’s injury and the fact that there will not be a triple-threat match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Battleground tonight as planned.

Instead out comes The Miz. The fans boo. Miz gets to the ring and gets on the mic. He talks trash for a while about Ryback, calling him weak and saying he’s not even injured.

Miz then switches his focus to Big Show. Miz mocks Big Show and says he’s been worthless for years and hasn’t been useful since the Attitude Era.

Finally, Big Show’s music hits. Miz pleads with him to team up and beat up Ryback together. Big Show, without saying a word, simply walks in the ring, blasts Miz with one KO punch, and walks back out.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
– Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins (c)

The video package for tonight’s main event between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship plays. Our 2015 WWE Battleground main event is up next.

After the video package, we head back inside the Scottrade Center in St. Louis where we return to the ring. Out first comes the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins by himself.

Out next is the challenger, Brock Lesnar, who comes to the ring accompanied by his advocate, Paul Heyman. Lilian Garcia does the formal introductions for our WWE title main event.

The “Suplex City” chants fire up immediately before the match is even underway. Finally, the bell sounds and here we go. Like a bull let out of its’ cage, Lesnar bum-rushes Rollins and bullies him back into the corner. Lesnar slams his shoulder into Rollins repeatedly. Lesnar goes for his first trip to Suplex City, however Rollins escapes and ducks out to the floor.

When Rollins comes back in, Lesnar again goes for some suplexes, but Rollins keeps finding ways to avoid them. Finally, Lesnar goes for an F-5, but Rollins escpaes. However, Lesnar does manage to hit his first German suplex of the match. And another. And another. The fans are starting to count how many times Lesnar takes Rollins to Suplex City now.

Lesnar seems to be in firm control of the offense now, as he is brutalizing Rollins and every once in a while, taking him to Suplex City again. The fans are keeping track each time he does it. As of right now, Lesnar has taken Rollins to Suplex City an incredible 13 times.

Lesnar hits an F-5 on Rollins and covers him, however The Undertaker’s gong hits. The lights go out. When they come back on, Undertaker is standing in the ring staring at Lesnar.

Undertaker and Lesnar go at it until Undertaker finally hits a Tombstone piledriver. We see Heyman watching on in horror. Taker drops down to one knee and does his famous pose as his music plays and the lights go out again. Taker leaves and heads to the back, stopping to raise his fist as the crowd pops. WWE Battleground goes off the air on that note.
