SmackDown Live announcer Mauro Ranallo returned to social media on Saturday with an update on his status for tonight’s WrestleMania 33 pay-per-view and some quick words of encouragement for Jim Ross.

Ranallo took to his official Twitter page on Saturday to confirm that he will not be part of the announce team that will be calling tonight’s action for the pay-per-view and WWE Network broadcast.

“While it breaks my heart that I won’t be at WrestleMania I’m extremely happy for my friend Jim Ross,” wrote Ranallo, who included a “Keep Up The Good Fight” hashtag.

A few minutes later, Ranallo returned with another tweet, which featured the following quote from artist/poet/author Khalil Gibran:

“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls;the most massive characters are seared with scars.”
