The latest edition of the Complex program, Open Late with Peter Rosenberg, featured a WWE Takeover with Sasha Banks, The New Day, Rusev and Lana appearing as guests.
During the program, Banks was brutally honest about her initial thoughts regarding the way Ronda Rousey’s debut in WWE overshadowed the historic first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match.
“When I first found out she was going to come, I was like we don’t need that,” Banks told Rosenberg on the special WWE-themed episode of the Open Late show.
“I don’t need that taking away what we’re doing but she helps so much,” she added before admitting that Rousey’s work ethic and appreciation for the business ultimately won her over. “She works so hard. She always wants to learn. She loves it and respects it and I appreciate that. She works really hard. You can see that in the ring.”
Now that ‘The Boss’ is okay with the “Rowdy” one’s place in the company, she is ready to lock horns with her inside the squared circle whenever the opporunity presents itself.
“Any time, I’m ready for her,” said Banks of a potential showdown against the reigning RAW Women’s Champion. “Especially like knowing her now, I’m more than happy to have a match with her. I think she’s awesome.”
Banks added, “I think we can make magic together. I [haven’t got] anything bad to say about her.”
