— WWE has yet to put tickets for the 11/2 Crown Jewel on sale yet and this is reportedly because the company is still not committed to holding the event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Alternate locations are still apparently being considered and sources suggest that the event taking place as scheduled is very much in doubt. WWE was said to be making an internal go/no-go decision by today, so it remains to be seen if we will get a statement from them by the end of the week.
— PWInsider reports that the first set of WWE staff is scheduled to fly to Saudi Arabia over the next couple of days, with everyone else headed there after the set of TV tapings next week. Nothing has been communicated to staff so most people are still under the impression that the event will be going on as planned.
— Apart from the controversy that WWE finds itself in after the Saudi government was found to be involved in the murder of the Washington Post journalist, WWE also is dealing with an internal issue where multiple wrestlers – including John Cena – are reportedly unwilling to work this event as long as it is taking place in Saudi Arabia. There has been no movement on that front, but we’re told that this is said to be a major point of discussion among WWE management when deciding how to proceed.
