Tonight, in following the ongoing story of Ric Flair’s medical condition, we finally have some details from someone close to the Flair family.
Earlier today there was some discrepancy between news sources with some sites, including our own, running with the story that Flair was admitted and operated on for a colon blockage that spawned other health issues for the former 16-time champion. However, PWInsider reported they had spoken to someone close to the family who said that the story of a colon blockage was incorrect.
Later that day, Ric Flair’s current fiance Wendy Barlow, whom may be remembered as Fifi the Maid during Ric’s return to WCW in 1993, posted a Facebook update confirming what PWInsider had said. The story was picked up by TMZ who reported the update. In it, she says she was the one who brought Ric to the hospital Friday night after he began experiencing abdominal pain that turned into multiple organ failure. She posts that he did NOT have colon surgery and she doesn’t know where that claim came from (Gene Oakerland’s Facebook post most likely). Despite the correction, she says Ric is still in critical condition and to send prayers and best wishes.

Allwrestling.com will post more updates as they come in as we follow this story.
