In an update to some news surrounding Baron Corbin, it does indeed seem more likely that he has some backstage heat. The “Lone Wolf” of WWE was one of the most promising young talents just a few weeks ago. He has since lost his Money in the Bank briefcase in unimpressive fashion, and he was also pinned clean after one Attitude Adjustment from John Cena at SummerSlam. Some news sources even claim that WWE kept Jinder Mahal as WWE Champion and promoted Bobby Roode to the main roster just to spite Corbin. Various reports have come out claiming as to why the company has turned on Corbin, but now we may know of another possible reason.
A new report from the Dirty Sheets podcast claims that there may have been an incident backstage involving Cena and Corbin that did not do any favors for Baron. The report claims that Cena chewed Corbin out in front of the creative staff and roster members due to how Corbin perceives himself backstage. They even mention that about nine minutes into their SummerSlam match, while the crowd is chanting “Let’s go Cena, Cena sucks,” you can see John point to the crowd and mouth “nothing is about you! You ain’t done sh*t here, so you don’t know what it’s like!” It should be mentioned that Corbin having heat is just a rumor at this point, and we still don’t know all of the facts. However, such a dramatic fall from grace does seem to indicate that Corbin may be in some sort of trouble.
Another day, another departure from Global Force Wrestling. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson now reports that Low-Ki has officially decided to leave the company. It is believed that he either left due to creative differences or financial disputes. This was Low-Ki’s fourth run with the company, and he returned to the promotion just four months ago. Low-Ki marks another wrestler to leave the company this year, and just this summer has seen nearly a dozen of wrestlers leave the promotion. He will be appearing in a Gauntlet match during tomorrow’s Impact show as the match was taped a week ago. Low-Ki has worked all over the world in multiple promotions, so he could end up moving just about anywhere.
