Rockstar Spud recently parted ways with Impact Wrestling and his WWE debut is said to be imminent. Spud is rumored to be joining the cruiserweight division in WWE possibly as early as this week. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently discussed Spud’s Impact departure, and it would appear that Impact is not thrilled with the news of Spud joining WWE. The Observer notes that the company spent somewhere in the range of $20,000 to help Spud deal with visa issues. He then reportedly asked for his release just two weeks after the issues were sorted out. Both Spud and NXT’s Hideo Itami are set to debut on WWE’s main roster on Monday and Tuesday night respectively.
WWE has revealed Finn Balor’s newest t-shirt and it must be seen to be believed. The new t-shirt design may not seem too out of place at first glance, but what’s notable about it is that lettering in the word “forever” listed in red spells out “over.” This is obviously in response to a meme that Balor started on social media wherein he uses the term “over” when describing himself. The gag is based off of recent online rumors suggesting that Balor was removed from the Universal Championship picture because Vince McMahon does not believe that he is over with the crowd right now. Lucha Underground currently offers a product that is both different and thrilling at the same time. The future of the show seemed bleak for a while as weeks went by without the announcement of a new season for the wrestling program, however, a fourth season was finally confirmed to air at some point in 2018. F4WOnline.com has now reported that the plan is to begin taping the shows on February 16th. The report claims that some roster members have been cancelling independent bookings scheduled for the month of February in order to film material for the new season. Though tapings are reportedly set, there is still no confirmation on an exact air date for the fourth season of the series.
